The Culminating Activity – 30% of final mark

The Culminating Activity is the Career Pamphlet and the Display Board. The objectives of these two assignments are reflective learning and workplace opportunities.

Information and instructions for the career pamphlet will be given during an in-class day. The purpose of the pamphlet is to discover the career or occupation of your placement. You will research the educational requirements and post-secondary destinations, salary range, future outlook and physical requirements.

The Display Board is for use at the Career Fair. All of the Display Boards from all of the co-op students will be gathered in a room and the grade 10 Careers classes will drop by for a visit. As host – you will be on hand to answer their questions about your co-op placement – the tasks you performed, the skills you learned and the people you worked with. This is your opportunity to talk about your placement and your experiences at co-op. Hopefully the grade 10 students will want to try co-op next year.
