What is the Employment Standards Act?
As an employee, you have employment standards rights. Things such as minimum wage, vacations, benefits, overtime pay and hours of work are covered.
The Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) provides the minimum standards for most employees working in Ontario. It sets out rights and responsibilities of employees and employers for most Ontario workplaces.
